Chainsaw Operator / Groundsperson

What the role involves:
- Tree care and maintenance services using a range of tools including chainsaws, tree lowering devices, wood chippers and stump grinders
What the role requires:
- Participation in daily toolbox meetings, risk assessments and equipment maintenance
- Ensuring that after each job is undertaken site remains in excellent condition
- Ensuring that the highest standard of Bohmers Tree Care Work Health and Safety practices are carried out
- Effective participation as team member, communicate efficiently, be able to listen to and carry out instructions from supervisor, sharing information and skills with others and providing constructive feedback to assist in achieving business priorities
What you need to have:
- A current White Card, Chainsaw Ticket & NSW Driver’s Licence
- Practical experience within the tree industry
- Access to reliable transport to get to locations across the Illawarra
- Commitment to your own and others’ health, safety & wellbeing
- Ability to undertake physical work including manual handling
- Strong communication and personal presentation skills with the ability to maintain Bohmers’ professional image
- Passion for ongoing learning and the ability to follow instructions and adapt to change
It is desirable, but not essential for you to have:
- An Arboriculture Certificate II or III
- A current Senior First Aid Certificate
- An Elevated Work Platform Licence
- An MR Licence
- Traffic Control qualifications
- Pesticide/Chemical Applicator Ticket
- Wood Chipper and Stump Grinding competency and experience
